Living in Fort Greene, Brooklyn: Multiple Identities Can Be a Good Thing
Brooklyn and some it's surrounding neighborhoods have been to center of the real estate buzz in the past few years. The locaton has developed into clash of focal issues within gentrification, and the cultural and social identities of the neighborhoods. This article shines light to some of these issues in a very subtle way, not really highlightly the area of Fort Greene as a gentrified place (per se). Instead, the article shines light on several potentials portrayed through Fort Greene's historical contexts, and emerging scenes. The writer, Jeff Vandam, does an efficient job at outlining a lot of these points. New York Times is successful with articles like these, where they use different forms of interactive media to give the reader a visual of the topic at hand.

MoLAA gets $25-million endowment
This article on the Museum of Latin American Art in Long beach particularly caught my eye because in relation to the financial situation with the LA MOCA, this is a great thing for museums in L.A. The money was allocated through the endowment from the estate of the founder, Dr. Robert Gumbiner, who established the museum in 1996. He saw it as a way to preserve his cultural legacy.
