A little visual for you West Coasters brought to you by writers Erika Hayasaki and Robert Fausset. In case you were wondering, Smith College finally got a snow-day, it's first in almost 20 years.

A L.A. Times blog entry. Nice to see some parts of L.A. are implementing some change - baby steps.

Ra Ra Riot - Detroit Bar
If you're in the greater Los Angeles area, please do consider going to this show. You will be super satisfied with the show this sextet puts on. Do it.

The rock poster reinvented
The print culture brought back to life by artists such as Jason Munn. Featured in this article by Scott Timberg, Munn is exposed as a representative of those designers seeking and reinstating the life of "the print". Timberg most importantly notes the all encompassing passionate approach by Munn, echoing the impressions instilled by the print culture of 40 decades past. This article brings life to those of us with major interests in printmaking and design. Timberg is successful in contributing a promotional perspective into the life of the rock poster. Thanks Timberg.

And you thought I was going to forget one of my most loved featured sections of this blog? Yeah RIGHT! Groove to this. It goes perfectly with a blizzard (no not the Dairy Queen "blizzard", a real one). ENJOY.

Weave!
Listened to this band at the WOZQ station, and they're such a good afro-punk-vibe listen. They've got a self-released debut out, so get your hands on that [for sure]. Here's one of their songs I've been groovin' to. JAM ON.

Weave! - Bravery

Marina and the Diamonds
Super into this classic hit of '08 entitled "Obsessions". Ironic? Yes. First listened to this band off of Neon Gold Beat Company blog. PLUG IT.
